kimono krush
I am loving all things Japanese and have been for the last 12 months particularly the traditional pieces and the patterns and obi belts...this has all come from the Full Bloom Theme i choose to use for my competition piece using an old kimono which i embroidered and embellished with ribbon embroidery.. I also used the image of Koi fish and did drawings and prints with them and quilting them and using TRAPUNTO technique which i love and of course water lilies
I wanted to give my own signature on this Kimono with it pulled back to look a bit contemporary but keeping the length of the sleeves and adding floral appliqued pieces as brooches which i will develop much later .
bits and bobs
hand made bags using upcycled facbrics which are then appliqued and quilted onto my tote calico bags i have made, each bag is one of a kind.
